Health New England Recognized as SPRINGFIELD, MA (Dec. 6, 2006) The Employers Association of the Northeast (EANE) recently honored Health New England as 2006 Employer of the Year in the category of for-profit companies with more than 100 employees. During a ceremony to present the award, Meredith Wise, president of the EANE, cited the Health New England practice of holding “All Employee” meetings three times a year. Also noted were HNE’s employee recognition programs and HNE’s practice of producing monthly Business Measures Reports to keep employees informed of the status of the business. In her remarks, Wise also noted that HNE fills more than one third of job openings from within and usually by promotion. “The Health New England corporate culture truly stands out among other employers in our region,” said Wise. Other employers recognized by the EANE included The Literacy Project, Western New England College and New England Dermatology.
