At HNE, we are committed to helping our members get the best possible care and service. Part of this commitment involves supporting you, our providers, and one of the ways that we do this is by giving you access to useful tools and resources. We now provide access to several programs and resources on the HNE Web site (www.hne.com) that we hope you will find useful.
HNE has posted two physician-developed programs on the HNE website, the School Psychiatry Program, developed by physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH); and the MADI Resource Center, also affiliated with MGH. Both programs offer a wealth of information reading material, screening tools, and access to support groups for ADHD as well as other mental health conditions that families face. The School Psychiatry Program provides access to resources not only for parents, educators and clinicians, but for children as well. Click here for a link to these programs, or visit www.hne.com, go to the For Members screen, click on learn more under Healthy Directions, then click Mental Health under the General Health Information heading.
The second set of tools are entitled Screening Children/Adolescents for Mental Health Conditions and the NICHQ ADHD Primary Care Initial Evaluation Form. These screening tools are designed to alert physicians to difficulties in functioning that may indicate current or potential psychosocial problems, so that early intervention can be provided. To access these forms click here, or visit www.hne.com, go to the For Providers screen, click on learn more under Healthy Directions, then click Children’s Health on the left-hand side of your screen.
In addition, paper copies of selected information are available upon request. We hope that these programs are helpful to you, your patients and their families and educators.
