HNE offers two ways for providers to submit claims directly to us. Claims can be submitted through HNEDirect, our secure Web site, or through File Transfer Protocol (FTP).  FTP involves a point to point connection between your information system and HNE .

If your practice has the capability to submit the standard Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) required 837 claim file format, and you are not already submitting claims directly to HNE, please contact us at (413) 787-4000 Ext. 3402 to request a copy of the technical specifications required for direct billing.
