HNE Makes UM Criteria
Available to Physicians:

HNE makes clinical criteria used for rendering decisions regarding the appropriateness of medical services available to physicians upon their request. The physician will be mailed a copy of the HNE developed guideline or a specific section of the InterQual® criteria set used to evaluate a particular patient situation. Physicians may also arrange to view the entire set of licen-sed, proprietary InterQual® criteria at either the HNE Springfield or Pittsfield office. Physicians can call the HSM Secretaries, at ext. 3440, 3450, 3458, or to request a copy of a specific criteria or policy.
